Getting to know...
NANCY HARRIS
Nancy Harris was born
to James and Annetta Miller
in Cedar County, Missouri
on Nov. 29, 1934.
Nancy grew up with two
sisters and one brother. She
attended Hazel Dell school
and graduated from
El Dorado Springs.
Nancy married Ernest
Harris in 1953, and the
couple were married for 60
years. Together they have three
children Terry, Steven and Fred, four grandchildren, and
two great-grandchildren.
Ernest owned the State Farm Insurance Agency in town
and Nancy was his accountant and kept the office running
smoothly. She also worked in the Superintendent’s office at
the school for several years.
Nancy and Ernest enjoyed spending time with family
and friends, bowling, football and baseball games, and
traveling. The couple were active members at the First
Baptist Church.
