During this time, he has been a good friend to all who have lived here. He is notorious for watching comedies on TV and listening to Rock-n-Roll music in his room. Even though he was born in Harrisonville, Ron would grow up in both Missouri and Kansas. Eventually, Ron would graduate from high school in Uniontown, Kan. After high school, he enlisted in the Navy. Throughout his live, Ron would work in different fields. He would gain experience in factory work, home health and construction. “ I loved working with construction,” Ron said with a smile. “ It allowed me to travel a lot.” His favorite state he visited was Tennessee, where he helped with the construction of a hazardous waste site. While working at for the State Hospital, Ron met, and eventually married, his wife, Brenda. Together, the couple would raise their blended family of three daughters and one son. Ron and Brenda have also been blessed with three grandchildren. This past April, Ron and Brenda celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. “Seeing my girls graduate from college, being able to taking his grandson fishing, and marrying the love of my life are the high points,” Ron says. “My family is very important to me.” In his spare, you can find Ron playing dominos or cards with fellow residents, exercising or lifting weights. Thank you Ron for being our resident of the month and sharing your story. Are you a caring individual who would like to assist in caring for the elderly?
