Meet Tina Pellegrin-Tryon
I began volunteering and job
shadowing in 2012. In
2014, interned with the Social
Services Department at
Community Springs. Later that
summer, I returned as an
activity aide. Since then, I have
assisted the social service
department and helped fill in as
a resident attendant for the
Nursing department. I have
also served as the facility
driver.
This past spring, after
graduating with my Master’s
Degree in Social work from
Missouri State University
(MSU) in Spingfield, I accepted
the Director of Social Services
position at Community Springs.
CMH has always been my first
choice for employment. I love
being able to work with the
residents on a personal level,
as well as being a part of a
growing and compassionate
health care team.
Meet our
Resident of the Month
Wanda Cargill was born in Little Rock,
Ark. on March 27, 1928, to George and
Bertha Smith. Growing up, Wanda was
raised by her grandparents.
At 16 years old, began working at
Walgreens Drug Store in Little Rock. It
wasn’t long before she met Finis who, at
the time, was serving in the United States
Army. On May 17, 1945, Wanda and Finis
were married.
After his discharge from the Army, the
couple moved to Missouri, where they
had their son, Paul. Wanda and Finis
have since been blessed with two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
In 1965, the couple relocate to El Dorado Springs. Wanda started
working for the International Shoe Factory. In her spare time, Wanda loved
making piece quilts for friends and family, embroidering and working in
her flower garden.
Even though Wanda loves her family dearly, she has found so much
happiness at Community Springs Healthcare Facility. She is proud and
thankful to call it her home. Congratulations, Wanda, on being named
Community Springs Healthcare Facility’s August Resident of the Month!
