Take 25 is a child safety program created by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children . On National Missing Children ’ s Day , observed annually on May 25 , the Arlington Police Department encourages parents and guardians to “ Take 25 ” minutes to talk with their children about staying safe .

With a focus on prevention , Take 25 provides tools and resources to help initiate an ongoing dialogue about safety with the children in our community .
Every day , parents and guardians can spend time talking to their children , setting appropriate limits , and helping them make good choices .
Just minutes of prevention can make a huge impact in the life of a child . To help educate communities on these risks and ways to better protect the children in their lives , the Take 25 campaign can help start the conversation .
