Start The Conversation Take 25 is a grassroots safety initiative created by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. On National Missing Children’s Day, observed annually on May 25, the Arlington Police Department encourages parents and guardians to “Take 25” minutes to talk with their children about staying safe. Take 25 With a focus on prevention, Take 25 provides tools and resources to help initiate an ongoing dialogue about safety with the children in our community. Every day, parents and guardians can spend time talking to their chil- dren, setting appropriate limits, and helping them make good choices. Just minutes of prevention can make a huge impact on the life of a child. To help educate communities on these risks and ways to better protect the children in their lives, the Take 25 campaign can help start the conversation.
