early in the year. All bills introduced in 2019
that failed to move out of the House of Origin
were moved prior to January 31. While this
didn’t include any bills on our priority list, it
created more activity that usual for this time of
the year. We’ve gone thru the normal course of
events, including the State of the State address,
presentation of the State Budget and introduction
of new bills.
During last Holiday Season, your legislative
team and delegates were working to finalize
language and identify authors for our other
legislative priorities. We will also be monitoring
new legislation that may be introduced that could
impact your association.
All of this is why we need you to join us in
Sacramento for CAI-CLAC Legislative Day in the
Capitol scheduled for March 30-31. This year’s
event will be bigger and better than 2019. You will
not want to miss it. So, register today!
