Education The Education Committee is very happy to report that our programs continue to receive excellent reviews from the attendees, and we intend to maintain this level of excellence through the upcoming programs. Please join us for the Trade Show and Luncheon on September 13th at the Mission Bay Hilton to learn about using independent professionals to establish the scope of work for projects. Our next two Morning Leadership programs are September 27th property claims adjustment and October 29th short term rentals. We will end the year with a legal update/almost free legal update with special guest speaker, CLAC’s Legislative Advocate, Louie Brown from Sacramento. Watch your emails for more details and to register for these programs. The committee is excited to provide valuable information for community association managers and board members on common issues we face in our communities. We will see you all there! 14 | SAN DIEGO COMMUNITY INSIDER FALL 2019 COMMITTEE UPDATES Membership The Membership and Retention Committee needs your help! Did you know the chapter will sponsor managers and volunteer leaders for events and educational offerings? So, keep inviting those non-members to see what CAI San Diego is all about. Volunteer leaders and managers can also receive sponsorship for their first year of membership! That means with a little work from everyone, we can convert non-members into members very easily! Let’s get the word out. Publications The committee again welcomes new members! It is always exciting to have new opinions, talents, and resources to draw from. In other news, we are currently seeking business partners who are interested in being featured in the cover or in purchasing a promotional package. Community Insider Magazine is the #1 resource in San Diego for getting your name in front of managers and HOA members! If you are not currently featured on our pages, you should be! Reach out to the CAI executive staff or any committee member for more info. CAI members interested in joining the committee or authoring an article should contact Dee Waite at [email protected] or Yvette Huffman at [email protected].
