Regeneration International, a tax-deductible nonprofit organization, was founded in June 2015 by world renowned eco-agriculturalist and author Vandana Shiva, Ph.D.; Hans Herren, President of the Millennium
Institute and winner of the World Food Prize; Andre Leu, President of IFOAM; Tom Newmark, Co -founder of
New Chapter and Carbon Underground; Steve Rye, CEO of Mercola.com; Ronnie Cummins, Director of Organic
Consumers Association; Renate Kunaste, Germany’s former Minister of Consumer Protection, Food and
Agriculture; and other leaders in sustainable food and agriculture.
RI’s goal is to provide practical resources, research and information in multiple languages so that farmers
around the world can implement low-cost “carbon farming” methods that build healthy soils - and protect our
planet from climate change. Research shows that regenerative agriculture can actually take carbon out of the
atmosphere and sequester it into healthy soils - a big change compared to the fact that, by some estimates,
conventional agriculture is responsible for 1/3 to 1/ 2 of all GHG emissions worldwide. Visit
