Cacciari of Seeley Farm, as well as a Tilian Steering Committee member
Tomm Becker have both served on the FPB.
In late 2013, FSEP hired new Farm Program Manager John Feree, and
reimagined the Farmer Residency Program as the Tilian Anchor Farm.
In the 2014 season, Tilian also welcomed three new incubator farmers:
Fox Figs, a hoophouse-grown fig experiment, Arbor Hills Farm, a smallplot intensive vegetable CSA with meat chickens, and Gary Mazzeo,
growing 1 acre of cabbage as well as beets for the Brinery. These
farmers are on their first year of at least three so we can hope for great
things to come for them all!
In August 2014, Michigan Food and Farming Systems (MIFFS) joined
the leadership of Tilian alongside FSEP, and hired new Farm Program
Manager Stefanie T. Stauffer, PhD. Learn more about this recent
management transition at Tilian here.
We are currently recruiting for Spring 2015 incubator farmers, especially
those with interest in livestock (including bees), four season vegetable
production, fruit, and other captivating ideas that will bring about a more
dynamic local and regional food system! Check the Farm Incubator
Programs on the website.
