Letter from the Publisher HOT POTATO!!! WOW!!! Has our Humidity been something. This is when Community Garden Groups may lose Volunteers from it being just too stinking HOT outside. Watering and weeding plants are harder to do when it is so HOT outside. It has been a luxury and delight to eat our FRESH grown Lettuce. Usually, planted is various types of Lettuce and it is mixed with some Iceberg Lettuce and salad mix we purchase from the Grocery store. It is just a good mix blend. And, each bowl, each meal, is different by adding some fresh fruit, cottage cheese, some shredded cheese on certain meals, some meat on others, FRESH tomatoes, and, other edibles like croutons. It is a feast most times. This year has been great since the weather has cooperated so much better this year than in the past few years. Our local Farmers Markets are doing well since more folks want to eat better and eat FRESH vegetables. In the Fall we get to Enjoy! FRESH apples we can either pick or purchase at the local orchards.
