Four-year-old preschool Option 1
Free , half-day Monday-Thursday preschool option with transportation included .
Option 1 is open to families who meet all three requirements : 1 ) Are residents of the Anoka-Hennepin School District * with a child four years of age by
September 1 , 2022 . 2 ) Meet income guidelines ( listed below ), and 3 ) Live in or attend child care in the attendance area of the schools listed on page 5 . If you are not a resident of the Anoka-Hennepin School District , see option 3 .
Income guidelines
Proof of income is required to complete the registration . This must be received within two weeks of registration . Without proof of income , your child will not be placed in a class and their registration may be withdrawn .

Student class placement

Households of more than 8 add $ 8,399 for each
Students will be placed in morning or afternoon classes additional household member . based on school district bus routes . Families will be notified of the preschool class schedule before August 2022 .
Registrations are welcome throughout the year and will be placed as space is available until classes are full .
Class schedule
Classes are held Monday-Thursday with both morning and afternoon sessions . Classes closely align with the Anoka-Hennepin School District calendar .

As part of the USDA Free and Reduced School Meals Program , children attending preschool in the morning will be served breakfast or a snack . Children attending preschool in the afternoon will be served lunch or a snack .
