Four-year-old preschool

Four-year-old preschool Option 1

Free , half-day Monday-Thursday preschool option with transportation included .
Option 1 is open to families who :
• are residents of the Anoka-Hennepin School District with a child four years of age by September 1 , 2021 .
• meet income guidelines ( listed below ), and
• live in or attend daycare in the attendance area of the schools listed on page 7 .
Income guidelines
Proof of income is required to complete the registration . This must be received within two weeks of registration . Without proof of income , your child will not be placed in a class and their registration may be withdrawn .
Families with more than seven family members may call the Anoka-Hennepin Schools Preschool office at 763-506-1500 for details .

Students will be placed in morning or afternoon classes based on school district bus routes . Families will be notified of the preschool class schedule before August 2021 .
Registrations are welcome throughout the year and will be placed as space is available until classes are full .

Annual household pre-tax income
Households of 8 or more add $ 8,288 for each additional household member .
Classes are held Monday-Thursday with both morning and afternoon sessions . Classes closely align with the Anoka-Hennepin School District calendar .

Meal / snack
As part of the USDA Free and Reduced School Meals Program , children attending preschool in the morning will be served breakfast or a snack . Children attending preschool in the afternoon will be served lunch or a snack .
