1
Four-year-old preschool Option 1
Free, half-day Monday-Thursday preschool option with
transportation included.
Option 1 is open to families who:
• are residents of the Anoka-Hennepin School District with a child four years of age by
September 1, 2020,
• meet income guidelines (listed below), AND
• live in or attend daycare in the attendance area of the schools listed on page 7.
Income guidelines
Proof of income is required to complete the registration.
This must be received within two weeks of registration.
Without proof of income, your child will not be placed
in a class and their registration may be withdrawn.

Student class placement
Students will be placed in morning or afternoon classes based on school district bus routes.
Families will be notified of the preschool class schedule before August 2020.
Registrations are welcome throughout the year and will be placed as space is available until
classes are full.
Class schedule
Classes are held Monday-Thursday with both morning and afternoon sessions. Classes align with the
Anoka-Hennepin School District calendar.
Meal / snack
As part of the USDA Free and Reduced School Meals Program, children attending preschool in the
morning will be served breakfast or a snack. Children attending preschool in the afternoon will be
served lunch or a snack.
