Four-year-old preschool Option 1
Free, half-day Monday-Thursday preschool option with
transportation included.
Option 1 is open to residents of Anoka-Hennepin Schools with a child four years of age by
September 1, 2019, who meet the income guidelines and live or attend daycare in
attendance areas of the schools listed on page 7.
Income guidelines
Proof of income is required to complete the registration.
This must be received within two weeks of registration.
Without proof of income, your child will not be placed
in a class and their registration may be withdrawn.

Student class placement
Students will be placed in morning or afternoon classes based on school district bus routes.
Families will be notified of the preschool class schedule before August 2019.
Registrations are welcome throughout the year and will be placed as space is available until
classes are full.
Class schedule
Classes are held Monday-Thursday with both morning and afternoon sessions. Classes follow the
Anoka-Hennepin School District calendar.
n Classes meet for a 5.5 hour class day, Monday-Thursday.
Meal / snack
As part of the U.S. Free and Reduced School Meals Program, children attending preschool in the
morning will be served breakfast or a snack. Children attending preschool in the afternoon will be
served lunch or a snack.
