Four-year-old preschool Option 2
Free, half-day every day preschool option with transportation included.
No income eligibility guidelines.
Option 2 is open to residents of Anoka-Hennepin Schools with a child four years of age by
September 1, 2018, who live or attend daycare in attendance areas of:
• Adams Elementary School
• Evergreen Park World Cultures Community School
• Jefferson Elementary School
• Monroe Elementary School
• University Avenue
Student class placement
Students will be placed in morning or afternoon classes based on school district bus routes.
Families will be notified of the preschool class schedule before August 2018.
Registrations are welcome throughout the year and will be placed as space is available until classes
are full.
Class schedule
Classes are held Monday-Thursday with both morning and afternoon sessions. Classes follow the
Anoka-Hennepin School District calendar. A five-week summer component is also included to extend
learning opportunities.
Meals
As part of the U.S. Free and Reduced School Meals Program, children attending preschool in the
morning will be served breakfast. Children attending preschool in the afternoon will be served lunch.
