Communication
Teachers will primarily use Reach My Teach to keep parents / guardians updated with their child’ s learning and classroom information. Be sure to check it often for learning activities or important announcements. Reach My Teach provides messages( text and email) to be received by parents / guardians in their preferred language.
Child Information
Please keep your child’ s information current and notify your child’ s classroom teacher of any changes such as: phone number, email, home address, health information, or persons authorized to pick up your child.
Weather-related school closings
When inclement weather limits the ability to provide safe student transportation to and from school, Anoka-Hennepin Schools may close *.

Accident Notification
If your child has an accident or injury while at preschool that requires staff support, staff will take the necessary steps to care for your child: Administering first aid Notifying parents / guardians of the accident by email, phone or at pickup time Notification of how / when the accident / injury occurred and what first aid was administered If needed, you may be asked to pick up your child. If emergency treatment is needed, staff will call 911 immediately. The parent / guardian will be contacted after the 911 call.
Allergies
If your child has food or environmental allergies, please inform your child’ s teacher. You will be asked to complete an Allergy Alert Plan.

* Preschool classes that are cancelled are not made up and accounts are not credited when there are emergency or weather-related closings.
Safety Drills
Fire, tornado and lockdown drills are practiced throughout the school year. Staff plan to make these drill practices a positive experience for children.
Class Withdrawal
If you need to withdraw your child from preschool, please call the main preschool office at 763-506-1500. If there is tuition paid when a withdrawal occurs after the start of a month, there is no refund for that current month, however, any prepaid tuition will be refunded.
