LEARN TO RIDE : ONE DAY HORSE CAMP BOULDER POINTE
Kids will learn what it ’ s like to have a horse for a day ! Campers get to ride in the indoor and / or outdoor arenas , practice how to steer , stop , turn , and walk , trot , and canter ( depending on camper ’ s riding experience ). They also might make horse treats , learn how to lunge , and play games . And don ’ t forget the time to feed and care for the horses , which is a big part of ownership ! Campers are broken into smaller groups based on similar riding experience , which is perfect for both new and more experienced riders ! This is a non-school day for Anoka Hennepin District students . Drop-off is at 9 a . m . and parent pickup is 3 p . m . Sorry we do not allow parents to stay for the day . All campers need to complete a waiver . Camp is held rain or shine , as there is an indoor barn and arena . Bring long pants , closed toe shoes , appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of the barn . No flip flops . Sunscreen / hat / bug spray , water bottle / drinks / snacks and lunch . Treats for the horses if you want . Helmets are provided . For ages 6-17 . Cost is $ 105 ($ 85 ) per class . BAKING AND THE JOY OF GIVING
Join us for this intro to baking class . During the class , students will learn the basics of reading and following a recipe , executing a recipe and the clean-up involved after baking . Once the baking is complete , students will fill their bellies and souls by eating some of their tasty treats but also preparing to donate the treats to a local charitable organization . The sweet treat will be different from the January 6 class .
