Begin a musical journey by learning how to play common chords on the guitar and gain the skills needed to play popular songs . ( VIRTUAL LESSONS ) Professional virtual instruction being offered by Steve Cekalla Guitar and Music School . A unique and fun approach for starters , but with the ability to teach styles , theory , and techniques to those with instrument experience . A stable internet connection , some internet savvy experience ( screen shot / print screen ) and access to a working printer is helpful . This Community Education package is for three virtual 30-minute group lessons . Please one lesson package only per student . Your lessons will be scheduled in the month that you registered for . CHEER

Performance cheer is an athletic activity that involves cheering , stunting , tumbling , and dancing . The performance cheer squad will participate in an Anoka-Hennepin Schools middle school show at the completion of the season . The district cheer show is Thursday , February 3 at Anoka Middle School for the Arts at 6 p . m . GRANDMASTERS OF CHESS

Beginning , intermediate and advanced students are invited . Learn , practice , and play chess during each class . Method keeps students on track with new chess lessons and puzzles each week , as well as guided games and in-class tournaments . FENCING

Fencing has evolved and has been deemed the sport of the intellectual athlete ! Headed up by Olympic Coach Ro Sobalvarro , new students get introduced to a pulse-pounding sport while returning students continue their study through Coach Sobalvarro ’ s progressive curriculum . Safety is our first priority . We supply safety swords , protective masks , chest plates and jackets , in a high-octane , inclusive environment . Wear long pants and athletic shoes .

RC RACING EVENT

Interested in remote control ( RC ) cars and trucks ? Want to try racing them on a track ? Then come join us for some fun as we explore what makes RC cars and trucks work and then try them out . You will test out your driving skills and gain a better understanding of how RC cars and trucks operate .

SKI AND SNOWBOARDING TRIPS

You MUST be a paid member of the Ski and Snowboard Club in order to participate in any ski and snowboard trips . To become a member of the club , select the Oak View Ski and Snowboard Club Membership option and pay the $ 25 registration fee . Each trip fee includes a lift ticket and transportation by school bus . If your student has a season pass for the ski hill ( Powder Ridge , Spirit Mountain , Trollhaugen and Wild Mountain ), select the price for the ski pass discount . Registration fee is $ 59 .
