WELCOME

Discover community education! Participating in extra-curricular activities and athletic programs is a great way for students to engage in their school community as they meet friends and learn new things.
Community Education offers a wide variety of unique activities, designed for teens, in the evening, on the weekend or after-school to enhance their academic and social experience:
• ATHLETICS: Team and individual sports
• PLAY: Recreation and fitness
• EXPRESS: Arts and theatre
• EXPLORE: Technology
• LEARN: Safety, babysitting and lessons
Community Education welcomes participants of all abilities. People with disabilities registering for community education programs may request reasonable accommodations with advance notice. To request an accommodation, please write your accommodation needs on the registration form. This document will be provided in alternate formats with three-days notice.
Information for athletic participants: Middle School athletics are held at each middle school and focus on skill development, participation, teamwork and safety. Teams are formed based on each player’ s skill level. Teams practice after school and compete against other Anoka-Hennepin middle schools. Students must have a Sports Qualifying Physical( valid for three years) on file to participate. The form is available online or at your school’ s Community Education office starting January 3. Activity busses are available Monday – Thursday. Parents are responsible for transportation on Fridays and after games. For specific schedules, visit www. ahmiddleschoolathletics. org after the first week of the program. Fee assistance( 50 percent) is available to students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.

DANCE SKILLS CLINIC
Whether you’ re an experienced or new dancer, this clinic will help you learn and practice steps and moves that typical dance routines are composed of including leaps, jumps, pirouettes, and more. A great opportunity for dance team participants to warm up and practice before the season starts. Wear athletic shoes and comfortable clothing. Bring a lunch and snack.
