BABYSITTING PREPARATION

Prepare yourself for future babysitting jobs so you can earn some extra spending money. You will learn games to play with children of all ages, age-appropriate food and treats, as well as safety and first aid tips. Includes lunch.

Can you imagine being at the lake, on a hike, or camping while speaking Spanish? This can be a reality. Learn words and phrases that you can use immediately. We’ ll create an imaginary campsite, cook food over a bonfire, swim, canoe, hike, and rappel down a cave- all while speaking Spanish!

BABYSITTING: AMERICAN RED CROSS CERTIFIED

Parents are looking for certified babysitters! Get a leg up on the competition with this American Red Cross class that prepares you for a wide variety of babysitting situations. Through hands-on activities, you’ ll learn about the basic care of young children including safety and responsibility, age-appropriate activities and first aid. Boys and girls at least 11 years of age are welcome to participate. Class includes a comprehensive babysitting manual and lunch. Must complete the entire class to receive certification.

BEGINNING GUITAR

Let the music play! Join this dynamic course and explore a dynamite instrument. Learn the basics of music including reading music, rhythm, melody and meter. Parents are invited to a mini-recital the last class. Note: Bring a six-string guitar. Electric guitars require an amplifier. Presented by Youth Enrichment League.

Das macht sinn! Learn basic German words and phrases along with information related to the five senses; how they work and how you can manage living without one of them. Grade one or above reading and writing ability necessary.
