ATHLETICS!
WELCOME
Fall is the perfect time to discover
community education! Participating
in extra-curricular activities and
athletic programs is a great way for
students to engage in their school
community as they meet friends and
learn new things.
Information for athletic participants: Middle school athletics focus on
skill development, participation, teamwork and safety. Teams are formed
based on each player’s skill level. Teams practice after school and compete
against other Anoka-Hennepin middle schools. Equipment/uniforms are
provided for most sports. Games are held between 4 - 6 p.m. Activity buses
are provided Monday-Thursday. Parents are responsible for transportation
on Fridays and after games.
Community Education offers a wide
variety of unique activities in the
evening, on the weekend or afterschool – designed for teens – to
enhance their academic and social
experience:
Students must have a Sports Qualifying Physical (valid for three years),
Eligibility and Emergency Health forms on file to participate in the middle
school athletic programs. Immunizations are not the same as a physical.
The forms are available online or may be picked up at your schools’
Community Education or Health office.
