and Supplemental Needs Trusts
Planning for your child’s future is critical to ensuring he or she will have important legal
and financial protections into adulthood. Learn the process for establishing legal
guardianship for adult children with disabilities and how to qualify for free legal assistance.
Discover the importance of supplemental needs trusts and how they can help provide
for your loved one with a disability while still maintaining eligibility for government
benefits. Class fee: $19.

Seizure Smart Training
One in ten Americans will have a seizure of some type in their lifetime, and 1 in 26
individuals will develop epilepsy at some point. Knowing how to properly respond to
a seizure could be lifesaving. This course will go over how to identify seizures, how to
respond to seizures, and overcome the myths and misconceptions surrounding seizures
and epilepsy. The instructor is the Seizure Smart Schools Program Coordinator at the
Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota. Even though this class is free, pre-registration is
required.
