Parents are the true experts on their children , and there is no “ one-size-fits-all ” approach to raising them . The information and tools ECFE offers during the toddler and two-year-old stage are designed to support families in developing their own ways to promote their children ’ s growth and development .

Toddlers and Twos classes are separating classes which means parents / caregivers spend half of the class time together with their child and half in parenting education while the child stays with an early childhood teacher .

Toddlers ( 16 to 24 months ) Spend time with your child learning , discovering and playing in a classroom designed for exploring and moving as well as parenting discussion on topics related to the joys and challenges of this age . Connect with other parents / caregivers who are sharing in the same experiences . Parent / caregiver and child separation will be gradual .

Introduction to ECFE

Early Childhood Family Education ( ECFE ) classes are designed to strengthen families and support children ’ s healthy growth and development . Enjoy this time to play with your child in an early childhood classroom exploring play dough , art activities , building with blocks and more . During the second part of class , parents / guardians separate from children to discuss a variety of parenting topics made to boost parenting skills and confidence while licensed teachers help your child develop their physical , language , cognitive and social potential . This is a mixed-age class .

Twos ( 24 to 36 months ) Life can be challenging living with the emerging independence of a two-year-old . Enjoy learning activities designed for curious , busy , on-the-go toddlers . Parenting discussion includes information about temperament traits , setting limits , toilet learning and independence . You ’ ll also connect with other parents and caregivers going through similar experiences .
