What are mixed-aged classes ?

Mixed-age classes are designed for families with one or more children , ranging in age from birth up to kindergarten . Each class includes a parent / caregiver and child time , learning activities for children , and parenting discussion time .

My Many Colored Days

Your child will learn about colors through art activities , songs , and books . Children and parents will gain knowledge about the wide variety of feelings and emotions . Parent discussion will focus on building an emotional vocabulary , managing strong emotions , and understanding the importance of brain integration for regulating emotions . Learn strategies for building calmness through all the colors of emotions .

Ooey , Gooey Sensory

Children love to explore with their senses . Parents and children explore different kinds of sensory activities such as finger painting , play dough and glurch . Parenting discussion includes general parenting information as well as ideas to help parents and children reduce stress .

Ready , Set , Parent ( was Everyday Parenting ) How many times have you heard or maybe said , “ I wish parenting came with a handbook ?” This class might just be the closest thing there is . Learn and share practical parenting tips . Discuss your child ’ s development . A licensed parenting educator will guide discussions based on topics selected by participants . Play and learn with your child . Just like every child is different , every class is different . This is a class you can take again and again .

Open the Door , Let ’ s Explore

Explore and discover the world outside through experiential , hands-on activities . Parenting discussion will include how to help children learn through common everyday experiences . Weather permitting , we will go outside to our nature area for outdoor activities . Dress for outdoor play every week .
