What are mixed-aged classes ?

Mixed-age classes are designed for families with one or more children , ranging in age from birth up to kindergarten . Each class includes a parent / caregiver and child time , learning activities for children , and parenting discussion time .

Introduction to ECFE

Early Childhood Family Education ( ECFE ) classes are designed to strengthen families and support children ’ s healthy growth and development . Enjoy this time to play with your child in an early childhood classroom exploring play dough , art activities , building with blocks and more . During the second part of class , parents / guardians separate from children to discuss a variety of parenting topics made to boost parenting skills and confidence while licensed teachers help your child develop their physical , language , cognitive and social potential .

7 Habits of Highly Effective Families

There is no way around it – everyone is busy these days . Unfortunately in this busy world , families along with family time can often get the short end of the stick . Hear about tried-andtrue ways to juggle your many responsibilities while still making special everyday moments in the life of your children . A licensed parenting educator will guide discussions based on topics selected by participants .

Parents and children will learn about the outdoors and nature , both in and out of our greenhouse , through artwork and sensory experiences .

If you ’ ve been in ECFE classes for more than a year or perhaps you have two children and are ready to move beyond toilet learning and toddler tantrums , then this is the class for you ! As you transition from parenting little ones to bigger kids , it ’ s time to shift discussions to a focus on preschool and early elementary school parenting .
