So much has changed in your child ’ s first year ! Spend time with your one-year-old learning , discovering and playing in a classroom designed for exploring and moving as well as parenting discussion on topics related to the joys and challenges of this age . Parent / caregiver and child separation will be gradual . * Sibling care is available at Riverview – see page 6 for fee .

Your Moving Baby ( 6-12 months )
This is a busy time in a baby ’ s life … rolling , crawling , standing and perhaps walking . Join other families to play and learn in an environment designed for babies . A licensed parent educator will guide discussions and provide important information for this next stage in your baby ’ s development . Parents / caregivers and babies remain together for the class . Although this is a free class , pre-registration is required . Limit one free class per family , per semester .

Home Visiting
We ’ ll bring ECFE to you ! Home visits are offered to families with children ages birth to kindergarten . If you have questions regarding your infant , toddler or preschooler , schedule a personal home visit with a licensed family educator .
The family educator will come to your home to talk about :
• How children grow
• Parenting
• Setting goals
• Solving problems
• Community help
• Learning through play

Join your Parent Advisory Council !
Attending Parent Advisory Council ( PAC ) meetings is a great way to learn more about school district programs and make personal connections with other families .
The parent volunteers of the PAC support your ECFE and School Readiness Preschool programs by sharing their energy , ideas and suggestions .
Meetings are held the second Monday of each month during the school year from 6:30 to 8 p . m . Childcare is provided .
