Nuts About Nature (30 months up to kindergarten)
A naturalist from Three Rivers Park District will guide the class in exploring
the outdoors. This will be a hands-on experience using all of the senses.
Parenting discussion includes how to help children learn through common
everyday experiences. This class is in collaboration with Three Rivers Park

Talk builds your child’s brain! Did you know that your child’s brain: grows
up to eighty percent of its adult size during the first three years; responds
to your talking right from birth; and forms seven hundred new nerve
connections every second? Join us to learn how to build your child’s brain
through talking, reading and singing. You will receive personal feedback

Does your son or daughter like to build and figure out how things work?
With a variety of materials, you and your child will use problem-solving
skills to explore the hows and whys of a STEM world! This fun, hands-on
class is a great way to inspire a passion for STEM in girls as well as boys.
Parenting discussion focuses on what parents can do to support their
child’s learning. Note: This class is a repeat of the fall semester STEM class.

This preschool class meets two days a week.
The first day, parents and children attend
together. The second day is for children
only. Parent attendance is expected in order
for child to participate in the child-only
day. Activities are aligned with the school
district’s preschool curriculum to enhance the
development of social skills, math, literacy,
music and science. Parenting topics include
getting ready for kindergarten, setting limits,
