School Readiness PRESCHOOL
Anoka-Hennepin Community Education coordinates School Readiness Preschool, which prepares children for kindergarten. The program offers a curriculum that is aligned with the district kindergarten curriculum. Licensed teachers monitor child progress and development throughout the school year.
Eligible ages for School Readiness Preschool
Three-year-old classes- Child must be three years of age on September 1, 2016.
What is School Readiness Preschool?
School Readiness Preschool is a tuitionbased preschool program aligned with the Anoka-Hennepin Schools elementary curriculum, which helps children prepare for kindergarten and become enthusiastic learners. Students participate in hands-on learning activities that are educational and fun, in a stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning through discovery and exploration.
Classes are taught by licensed teachers who monitor child progress and development throughout the year. Children gain skills and experiences in:
• Following routines and rules
• Cooperating with other children
• Literacy, books and writing
• Science, math, art and music
Four-year-old classes- Child must be four years of age on September 1, 2016.
Tuition
An initial tuition payment plus a $ 49 non-refundable registration fee is due at time of registration. Remaining tuition is divided into equal monthly payments.

Tuition assistance
We realize the importance of high-quality early childhood education for all children. Knowing the financial strain tuition may place on a family’ s budget, tuition assistance is available to provide School Readiness Preschool classes to qualifying families at no cost. There are still some preschool openings for the 2016-17 school year. Call the School Readiness Preschool office for more information.
