The Kindergarten Readiness
Preschool PLUS program is
designed to align with the
Anoka-Hennepin Schools
kindergarten curriculum.
Students will benefit from a
rigorous and consistent class
schedule.
Licensed teachers work with the
students to practice and target
the following learning areas:
• Social-emotional development
Free, half-day, every day preschool option with
transportation included.
Anoka-Hennepin Schools is one of 74 school districts and charter
schools to receive additional state funding to offer free, voluntary
pre-kindergarten classes.
Kindergarten Readiness Preschool PLUS is open to Anoka-Hennepin
families with a child four years of age by September 1, 2017, who live
or attend daycare in the attendance areas of:
• Adams Elementary School
• Evergreen Park World Cultures Community School
Classes are offered in both morning and afternoon sessions and
follow the Anoka-Hennepin School District calendar, Monday-
Friday. A summer school component is included to extend learning
opportunities. Free transportation and breakfast/lunch is also included.
• Literacy Online registration
• Math Registration for the 2017-18 classes began in January. Eligible families
may visit our website to register. Applications are accepted until all
classes are full.
• Cognitive development
• Language skills
• Physical development
