Oh, The Places You Will Go! (birth-8 years) Little Sprouts We’re off to great places; we’re off and away! Every week we will have a new
location in the community to visit. Field trip* locations are planned: nature
scavenger hunt at a local park, a visit to the library, a nature center, Eveland
Family Farm, and a police station. Classes will include parent education
through hands-on experience with your children and speakers for adults.
Specific dates and locations will be available at the first class. What could be more fun than digging and planting in the dirt? Riverview

Mixed-age classes are designed
for families with one or more
children, ranging in age from
birth up to kindergarten. Each
class includes parent/child time,
learning activities for children
and parent discussion.

Children grow up so fast in today’s high-pressure world that it’s easy to forget
to simply play. Join us for lots of “just plain fun” in our outdoor classroom
where we’ll hunt for bugs, “cook” in the mud kitchen, play with water, sand,
dirt and much more! Parenting discussion will include the power of play and
other topics. Weather permitting, this class will be outdoors for the entire
class time every week.

Everyday parenting brings everyday questions. How do I...? What’s typical?

ending! Join us to discuss your child’s development and get answers to your

Come explore the wonder of water and wheels! This fun indoor and outdoor
class will include lots of wet and messy activities. The session will conclude
with a bicycle/trike parade. Parenting discussion will include the power of play

Teen/Young Parent Connections
Support services and parent education for pregnant and young parents, ages

Parenting is a challenging job with struggles and trials. For some, the
challenge is even more difficult due to mental health issues or anxiety, added
stress of money concerns, parents with their own learning difficulties, or lack
of family support. This class offers parenting education, community resources,
children’s learning activities and time to play for parents facing these unique
challenges. Limited transportation is available. This class is not available for
