What is Community Schools
Preschool Enrichment?
Community Schools coordinates athletic, recreation and
arts activities and classes for preschool-aged children
year-round. Community Schools preschool enrichment
classes are designed to encourage participation and
independence, and parent/child classes are also offered
for when a child may need extra assistance in participation
or completing a project.
Summer classes are primarily held at Oak View Middle
School in Andover. (See location information on page 21.)

Junior Scientists - All About Animals Ninjas Camp
What makes a bird a bird? How does a caterpillar
become a butterfly? Did you know that reptiles are the
oldest creatures on the planet? Jr. Scientists: All About
Animals invites your little zoologists to analyze birds,
construct their way through the butterfly life cycle,
build reptiles, and examine insects with the K’NEX®
Organisms and Life Cycles™Kit. Your child will be too
busy exploring the animal world to realize that they are
gaining critical social and developmental skills. Sensei Wu needs you! Design a new dojo for
Snapology using LEGO® bricks, and train your men
to battle with the best. Go through ninja training and
earn your black belt; Snapology-style. Get ready to
have fun and become a Master Ninja.

Science Explorer’s Dynamite Dinosaurs John Tobler’s Gymnastics
Enter the Science Explorer’s time machine and journey
back to a world where dinosaurs ruled the earth.
Become a paleontologist to learn how enormous or
small these amazing creatures were, plus participate in
a “mini” dino dig. You will have a dynamite time with
hands-on experiments, studying fossils, and much more
as we journey back in time. Experience the fantastic movement potential of
your body through the medium of gymnastics.
Gymnastics and tumbling skills are introduced
and developed in a safe environment on the mini
trampoline, balance beam, bar, and vaulting horse.
Leotard or gym clothes recommended.

Pre-K Engineer Adventure

Develop your child's motor skills, hand-eye

Experiment with color using Tub Tints® and pipettes
to create secondary colors. See colors change due to

Egyptology
Participate in a dig for Egyptian artifacts and help

The Tiny Sports program was created to provide
preschool-aged boys and girls the opportunity to
learn the fundamentals of sports while improving
their motor skills. Participants learn how to dribble,

This non-competitive class is designed to help your child
