Mixed-age Classes ( birth up to kindergarten )

Just Plain Fun Outside

Join us for lots of “ just plain fun ” in our outdoor classroom where we ’ ll hunt for bugs , “ cook ” in the mud kitchen , play with water , sand , dirt and much more ! Parenting discussion will include the power of play and other topics . Weather permitting ; this class will be outdoors for the entire class time every week .

Little Sprouts

What could be more fun than digging and planting in the dirt ? Riverview Early Childhood Center has fenced garden space where the class will plant , water and weed a garden plot throughout the summer . Part of each class will be spent outdoors in the garden and enjoying nature activities , weather permitting .

What are mixed-age classes ?

Mixed-age classes are designed for families with one or more children , ranging in age from birth up to kindergarten . Each class includes parent / child time , learning activities for children and parent discussion .

NO CLASSES : ECFE classes will not be held July 4 , 5 or 6 .

A Taste of Preschool

A new twist for those young preschool-aged children and their siblings ! All children will enjoy classroom activities with their parents , but the fun really begins when parents go to their parenting discussion and the big kids ( ages three through five ) get to “ practice ” going to preschool in the classroom while the younger siblings play in the sibling care classroom . Parenting discussion topics focus on preschool skills that foster growth and development .

Stories Galore

Journey through a variety of activities from favorite authors . Each week we will bring a different author and their fun stories to life . A licensed parent educator will lead parenting discussions .

SenseSational

Children love to explore with their senses . Parents and children will explore a variety of sensory activities including finger painting , play dough , glurch and more .
