Through science-based exploration and outdoor play, experience the outdoors. Each class will include an opportunity to explore our outdoor learning stations and play with water, sand, dirt and more. This is a great way to get outside with your children, foster curiosity and explore the natural world. Your child will be inspired, delighted, and challenged as they use everyday materials and STEM concepts to design and build. The first day, parents and children attend together. The second day is for children only. Parent attendance is expected in order for the child to participate in the child-only day. Activities are aligned with Anoka-Hennepin Schools kindergarten curriculum to enhance the development of social skills, math, literacy, music and science. Parent topics include getting ready for kindergarten, setting limits, bedtime and more. *Sibling care is available for this class - $25/child. Registration is required. Andover Family Place Oh, The Places You Will Go! (birth through kindergarten) Today is the day. We’re off to great places; we’re off and away! This class will spend two weeks in the ECFE classroom and three fun-filled weeks experiencing great places for kids in the community. The ECFE classroom weeks will be a traditional ECFE class with separation time for parent discussion. The three “field trip” classes will include parent learning through hands-on experience with your children and speakers for parents. Field trip information will be available at first class.
