The Community Education department is proud to offer four
preschool program options for both three- and four-year-
old children, which gives families an opportunity to access
resources and support from the Anoka-Hennepin School
District before entering kindergarten:
Three-year-old preschool
Early Childhood
Screening

attend daycare in the attendance areas of:
• Adams Elementary School
• Evergreen Park World Cultures Community School
• Jefferson Elementary School
• Monroe Elementary School
• University Avenue Elementary School
Four-year-old preschool - option 3
Half-day preschool classes with multiple day, evening and
Saturday class options, open to families with a child four years
of age by Sept. 1, 2018. Parents provide transportation.

Screening is an early look at a child’s
specific needs a child may have in these
areas:
• Fine and gross motor skills
• Vision and hearing
• Speech and language development
• Height and weight
• Cognitive development
• Immunizations
The state of Minnesota requires a health
and development screening for every child
before entering kindergarten in a public
school. Anoka-Hennepin Schools offers
this service at no cost. Screening should be
completed before a child turns four years
old, and may be completed as early as
three years of age.
