PRESCHOOL Summer Preschool Summer PRESCHOOL Anoka-Hennepin Community Education offers a summer preschool program for children entering kindergarten in fall 2018. The program follows a curriculum closely aligned with Anoka-Hennepin Schools kindergarten curriculum and is taught by licensed teachers. Children must be five years old on or before September 1, 2018, to enroll. Tuition and tuition assistance Why choose a preschool program through the school district? As a parent, you want to be sure that your child is ready for kindergarten. Preschool serves as an introduction to the school experience. Anoka-Hennepin Preschool provides an introduction to the school experience in comfortable and inspiring classroom environments where students learn and grow, and become ready for kindergarten. The program follows a curriculum closely aligned with the Anoka-Hennepin Schools kindergarten curriculum and is taught by licensed teachers. In addition, Anoka-Hennepin Preschool uses a common assessment tool to evaluate student learning, which is aligned with district-wide kindergarten-readiness benchmarks. Children gain important skills and experiences in: • Learning to follow routines and rules. • Learning to get along with other children. • Literacy, introductory reading and writing. • Math and number sense, science, art and music. The tuition for the five-week (18 sessions) program is $345. Full tuition is due at the time of registration. Tuition includes a $25 non-refundable registration fee. Tuition assistance is available for families based on income and family size. Fee waivers may be granted for special circumstances. Designed for parents/guardians and children who will enter kindergarten fall of 2018. Sibling care is available for children age birth through four.
