Four-year-old preschool – Option 1
Free, half-day Monday-Thursday preschool option with
transportation included.
Option 1 is open to residents of Anoka-Hennepin Schools with a
child four years of age by September 1, 2018, who meet the income
guidelines and live or attend daycare in attendance areas of the
schools listed on page 7.
To qualify, household pre-tax

Families with more than seven family members may call the Anoka-
Hennepin Preschool office at 763-506-1500 for details.
Student class placement
Students will be placed in morning or afternoon classes based on
school district bus routes. Families will be notified of the preschool
class schedule before August 2018.
Class schedule
Classes are held Monday-Thursday with both morning and afternoon
sessions (Morris Bye and University Avenue Elementary Schools have
a five-hour class).
Meal / snack
As part of the U.S. Free and Reduced Priced School Meals Program,
children attending preschool in the morning will be served breakfast
or a snack. Children attending preschool in the afternoon will be
served lunch or a snack.

Registration for the 2018-19 classes began in February. Eligible
families may visit our website for more information or to register.
Registrations are welcome throughout the year and will be placed
as space is available until classes are full.
