Parent only classes are designed to meet the needs of today ’ s families . Our classes provide community and a shared learning experience for moms , dads , and those who care for children .

Baby on the Way
This class is designed for parents and caregivers who are expecting a baby ! Discussion topics will be geared for expecting families to get the support and information needed as they journey into parenthood . Topics will include early infant development , building healthy attachments , infant skills and temperaments . Classes will be led by a licensed Parenting Educator .
This class is presented in an online format : information on how to join the class will be emailed by the teacher one week before class starts .

Lunch & Learn Online Book Study
Are you looking for a way to strike up friendships with other parents or caregivers -- or want to find a great group you ’ d like to hang out with online ? Why not consider our Lunch & Learn Book Study ? It ’ s a fun and easy way to spark discussions about all things parenting and to build relationships with other parents or caregivers . Grab your lunch and join other parents / caregivers for an online book study facilitated by an ECFE Parenting Educator . Purchasing the book is not necessary for class participation but will aid in your learning . This session ’ s book - “ The Power of Showing Up ”. In an age of scheduling demands and digital distractions , showing up for your child might sound like a tall order . But authors Daniel Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson explain , it doesn ’ t take a lot of time , energy , or money . Instead , showing up means offering a quality of presence . Every child needs to feel the 4 S ’ s : safe , seen , soothed , and secure .

Parenting is rewarding , yet it can be exhausting . If you can ’ t handle your own emotions , how will your child learn to have good coping skills ? Join us for It ’ s OK to Take Care of Yourself … after some dedicated time to play with your child , we ’ ll break to discuss ways to take care of you as a parent , so you can better take care of your child ’ s needs . Each week a different self-care idea will be highlighted ; additional parenting topics will be chosen by the group .
