With Minnesota’s unpredictable fall weather, we will bring the fun, outdoor
nature activities indoors. Parenting discussion will include how to help children
learn through common everyday experiences as well as suggested topics by
participants.

“How to Talk” book as our guide,
we will explore ways to handle such
things as screaming in the car seat,
pinching a sibling, full-on temper
tantrums, etc. Learn ways to help
with big feelings and provide a
happy home and family.

Simplicity Parenting
Do you have a sense that the ‘too much to do, too little time’ lifestyle
of today’s society is taking a toll on your child? Come to learn ideas and
strategies to combat today’s frenetic pace and its impact on childhood and
family life. Based on the book, Simplicity Parenting, by Kim John Payne.
Reading the book is optional.

Reduce Meltdowns and Create a More Peaceful Family
Being a parent is stressful, and when your child has a meltdown, it can be
difficult to keep cool – let alone help your child to calm down. Discuss how
to focus, calm down and live in the present moment for both you and your
child(ren).
