Fall Wedding Dance Workshop

Line Dance with Monica-Thriller

Sample wedding dance favorites such as the waltz, swing and slow
dance. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or want to brush
up on your steps for an upcoming wedding. Wedding couples,
family and friends are welcome - this sampler class is for everyone!
Instructor, Carol Brecht-Wiles, has been making dance fun for more
than 20 years. Wear hard-soled shoes. Class fee: $25 one; $45 two.

Always been thrilled by the moves in “Thriller?” This fun line dance is
a great, easy version of the classic moves that inspired a generation
to dance. By the end of the class, you’ll be dancing the night away.
No partner needed. Wear closed-toed shoes. Class fee: $19.

Guitar I
Learn guitar basics in a relaxed group setting: first position
chords, tuning, how to read a chord symbol, proper hand
position, and more. Participants will be able to play many songs
upon completion of this course. Laurel Benedict has been an
accomplished instructor and a local performer for many years.
Bring your guitar (either acoustic or electric with amp). Supply fee
of $5 for CD paid to instructor Laurel Benedict at class.
Not meeting October 20. Class fee: $75.

Guitar-Right Hand Technique
Make your guitar playing more interesting by using new and
different picking and strumming techniques. Class will cover: a
review of basic chords: A through G, Em and Am. You will learn to
pick and strum with fingers and picks along with basic chord math
as it applies to the guitar. Instructor, Laurel Benedict, has been
an accomplished instructor and a local performer for many years.
Bring your guitar (either acoustic or electric with amp). Supply

Line Dance with Monica-Uptown Funk
You know the song, now learn the moves to go with it! This fun line
dance is a great, easy way to learn some funky moves to the energetic
Bruno Mars’ song, “Uptown Funk!” Grab your friends for a night of
fun. Instructor, Monica Mohn, is a USA Dance national champion. No
partner required. Wear closed-toed shoes. Class fee: $19.

NEW | Rumba for Beginners
Revive your dance routine with Rumba, the Latin “Dance of
Romance.” Perfect for any dance outings, weddings or when slow
music is played. Learn footwork, patterns and “Latin Motion.” Please
wear shoes without rubber soles; partners encouraged but not
necessary. Instructor, Carol Brecht-Wiles, has been making dance fun

Square Dancing
Modern square dance is healthy, fun and a great way to make new
friends while exercising your body, brain and smile. Sequential
lessons are hosted by Hotfoot Stompers Square Dance Club and
taught by Dean Libby. Couples, singles, and families welcome. First
two lessons on Sept. 19 and 26 are free. Pre-registration not required.
