Ghosts of Anoka Tour
Come experience the basics of the craft brewing process. Learn
about grain varieties and how they are added in order to create
different styles and flavors. Gain knowledge about each stage of
the brewing process, including what it takes to keg or can beers.
Detailed handouts and diagrams provided along with a flight of
sample beers. Class held at 10K Brew in Anoka. Class fee: $29.
Known as the Halloween Capital of the World®, costumed tour
guides will take you on a walk through the historic neighborhoods
of Anoka. View (from the outside) homes and businesses that have
been privy to some unexplained events, while your guide shares
real stories that have been brought to the Anoka County Historical
Society. Tour route is approximately one mile. Tour held rain or
shine; dress for weather. Tour begins at Anoka County Historical
Society in Anoka. Class fee: $15.

Experience the beauty of raptor migration at Hawk Ridge
Observatory in Duluth. With the help of experienced birding
guide, Gary Swanson, learn how to identify various types of raptors
including Red-Tailed, Sharp-Skinned, Coppers, Osprey, Bald
Eagles, and more. Identification resources will be provided. Bring

Cemeteries of Minnesota
Photographer and writer, Doug Ohman, has explored a part of
Minnesota’s history that fascinates many: cemeteries and stories of
the forgotten. Walk with Ohman through his photos of Minnesota
cemeteries and learn where the only Revolutionary War soldier
to die in Minnesota is buried, the difference between a cemetery
and graveyard, and the interesting history and meaning of
gravestone designs. Books available for purchase after program.
