Pottery-Dish it Up
Silk Scarf Painting
Be inspired by the bounty of the season and create a serving dish
or tray to celebrate fall’s harvest. Learn basic handbuilding and
surface design skills to add a handmade one of a kind item to your
holiday meals. Within three weeks, pick up your finished tray. No
pottery experience necessary. Class held at Silverwood Park in St.
Anthony. All supplies provided. Class fee: $35.
Use a silk scarf as your canvas to learn the French Serti technique
of silk painting. Create startlingly beautiful results with your own
design that is as simple or complex as you would like. Leave with a
completed piece of fashion to proudly wear or give as a gift. Scarf
measures 8 in. x 54 in. No art experience necessary. All supplies
provided. Class fee: $55.

Soap Making
Ready for a little artistic independence? Learn the basics of
handbuilding through a variety of techniques to help you create.
Then explore on your own to create a project of your choosing.
Examples include vase, platter, or lidded object. You decide!

Discover the delight of homemade soap for yourself or to give as
gifts! Using the cold process method, learn to make soap through
demonstration and participation. Color and scent your own raw
soap to take home. Complete handouts and recipes provided.

Watercolor-A Seasonal Approach
Bring some Halloween cheer to your home with this shabby chic
pumpkin wreath. This hands-on class will show you how to create
the perfect fall wreath for your home using yards of colorful burlap
ribbon. Finished wreath is approximately 16 in. around and suitable
for indoor or outdoor use. Supply fee of $15 cash paid to instructor
at class. Class fee: $29.

NEW | Reclaiming and Repurposing Yarn
Reclaiming yarn allows one to bring new life to knits that have
beautiful fibers but are no longer useful or stylish. This class will
show you how confidently choose a sweater that will unravel well
based on fiber type, stitching and gauge. Experience hands-on
examples of what to look for and avoid. Leave the class with a
sweater that you have begun to carefully disassemble and unravel.
Bring embroidery scissors and magnifying glass/readers if needed.

adapted to meet your individual skill level and is great for the
new or experienced artist. Learn about composition, color mixing
and watercolor washes. Subject matter is seasonally themed
and updated. Create a variety of paintings in a fun and relaxed
atmosphere with educator and artist, MaryLeah Marshall. Instructor
