Crochet-Beginning

Have you always wanted to learn to paint but feel short on time,
space or money? Discover how small paintings can resolve these
issues while providing opportunities to make beautiful, complete
works of art. Class covers acrylic painting fundamentals. All
supplies provided. Class fee: $75

Crochet is fast and fun. Learn the basics of crochet including
chaining, single crochet, double crochet, slip stitches and color
changes. Plus, discover what yarns and threads should be used
for each project and how to block a finished piece. Bring scissors.
Supply fee of $6 paid to instructor at class. Class fee: $39.

Candle Making

Drawing with MaryLeah

Whether a seasoned artisan or a budding enthusiast, candle
making offers something for everyone interested in learning the
craft. Make a long lasting candle (40 hours or more) using soy wax
flakes and scented oils. Learn the process to make them on your
own! Supply fee of $9 paid to instructor, Roni Crane, at class.
Class fee: $29.

Explore the world and joy of drawing in a creative and relaxed
atmosphere. Develop drawing skills focusing on line, shape,
value, space and texture. All levels of drawing are welcome;
individual instruction adapted to your skill level. Educator and
artist, MaryLeah Marshall, will provide guidance as you develop
your individual drawing skills using still life and photo references

Cord Rug
Make a beautiful rug from macramé cord. These 18 in. x 30 in. rugs
are durable, washable and can last a lifetime. This rug uses only
simple crochet stitches and can easily be done even if you do not
crochet or have not crocheted for a while. Supply fee of $25 cash

Easy Batik
Batik is the ancient art of melting wax into intricate designs on
fabric, which is then dyed and the wax is removed leaving a
beautiful design. Artists in Indonesia, India, Africa and China have
created beautiful batik fabrics unique to the materials, symbols and
ideas of their culture for years. Explore the beauty of fabric batik
with this simpler version using glue and fabric paint to create your
