First Aid

American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR / AED
This course is designed for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements or for those who have a desire to learn the techniques of CPR and the use of an AED. This classroom based, instructor-led course teaches adult, child and infant CPR / AED as well as choking management. The American Heart Association certification lasts two years. The general public and anyone interested in learning CPR may take this class. This course is not intended for healthcare providers.

Overdose Response Training
Learn how to save a life with naloxone! After taking the Steve Rummler HOPE Network naloxone training, you’ ll learn key info on opioids and current data on the opioid crisis, how to recognize signs of an opioid overdose, what naloxone is and how it works to reverse an opioid overdose, the action steps when responding to an overdose and how to administer naloxone, protections provided by Steve’ s Law, and where and how to get naloxone. Each participant will go home with a free IM Naloxone Kit. Participants must be ages 15 + to register.

Stop the Bleed- Bleeding Control Basics Course
Traumatic injuries are often sudden and unexpected. They can occur due to falls, accidents, and intentional violence. Stop the Bleed is a program designed to empower bystanders to act quickly and save lives. During this class, you will learn three bleeding control techniques including direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application. No prior medical training required. This class is for those 18 and over. Although this is a free course, registration is required.

Most people have at least one bad habit or some behavior that they would like to change, but they also have difficulty finding the best way to accomplish this. Many become frustrated at their attempts to change, and usually just give up because it’ s too frustrating or they have too many unsuccessful attempts to change. Join the instructor in an informative, problem-solving workshop designed to help those with a desire and motivation to change begin and maintain the process of changing bad habits and behaviors.

Dealing With Grief & Loss
The experiences of grief and loss encompass many things in life, such as death of a loved one, unexpected ending of a relationship, retirement, death of a pet, empty nest syndrome, or life changing illness. All of these things are very difficult for most people to deal with, mostly because they are not prepared to do so when the situation arises. Common results are shock, confusion, isolation, anger, and depression. This class is designed to be an informative, supportive, coping skills gaining workshop where we will discuss options to process, effectively cope with, and improve general well-being through this difficult process.

Healing Sound Bath
Crystal singing bowls are supportive in achieving well being in the mind, body, and soul. The vibrational frequencies of sound healing instruments have the ability to move through skin, fluid and bones of the body. Benefits may include a full body relaxation and recalibration. Be ready to restore and heal in this receptive 60 minute session. Dress comfortably and bring a mat, water bottle, a cozy blanket, pillow and come experience the sound waves.
