Basic Home Plumbing
Gain confidence by learning to repair minor plumbing problems or replace fixtures yourself . We will review metal and plastic pipe , valves and fittings . Take apart different types of faucets , replace pop-up drain assembly , and discuss internal workings of the toilet . There will be a demo on how to cut plastic pipe and solder copper pipe . Handouts are included with the class .

Home Electric Repair I
In this introductory class , we will review the home electrical system , different types and gauge of wire , application and safety . Proper techniques discussed for stripping wire , attaching to outlets , switches and light fixtures , as well as test equipment . Bring straight and Phillips screwdrivers , long nose pliers and wire stripping pliers to class if you have them . Handouts included with the class .

Electric Repair II
Continue learning by attending this hands-on class . You will install single pole and 3-way switches , outlets and light fixtures to energize a light bulb and test the circuit . We will discuss proper installation of different light fixtures and ceiling fans . Prerequisite : Basic Home Electrical Repair Class I . Please bring your wire stripper , Phillips screwdriver , and long-nose pliers if you have them . Handouts included with the class .

Intro to the Art of Bonsai
Explore the ancient art of Bonsai . This two week hands-on course will help take away the mystique and help you create , style , and maintain your own tree . The first week we will focus on discovering the tree . The second week will have you returning with your tree and work on repotting and additional styling . Lionel Flood is a past president and over 30 year member of the Minnesota Bonsai Society . Material fee of $ 50 paid to the instructor on the first day of class .
