Winter Pruning, Soils and Garden Problems
NEW | Hydroponic Gardening The Very Easy Way
Larry Cipolla, master gardener and author, will show you how
to create one of the oldest and most proven hydroponic
systems which can be used both indoors and outdoors for
growing veggies and herbs year-round. Through step-by-
step presentation and hands on work, you will construct and
take home a hydroponic system that does not require pumps,
tubing, special filtration or electricity. Supply fee of $48 paid to
instructor at class. Bring a bag lunch, a drill, and a two-inch hole
saw if you have one. Class fee: $25.
Winter is a great time to pinpoint yard and garden areas that
need attention. We will review and demonstrate pruning
techniques, consider ways in which to improve soils and learn to
prepare a new garden space while handling weed issues. Finally,
we will discuss compost bins that can recycle both your kitchen
and yard waste. Bring your questions. Class fee: $25.

Raised Bed or Container to Table Gardening
Don’t let limited space, light or time keep you from growing
your favorite herbs and vegetables (tomatoes, cukes, peppers,
scallions, lettuces, and kale to name a few). Raised beds and
containers require very limited weeding, and organic techniques
are easy. We will discuss container soils, construction and
placement of raised beds, and varieties best suited to your
situation. Bring questions and stories to share. Class fee: $25.
