A new year is often times an opportunity for a fresh start, and a time to set resolutions or goals. Adult learning programs serve lifelong learners in our community, connecting people who want to learn new things with people in our community who want to share their skills and talents. Community education classes give you the opportunity to meet new people – or even connect with old friends over new ideas and interests. Socialization is an important factor in health, and knowing that while living in Minnesota, sometimes the snow and cold keep us home. This winter, I encourage you to get out and discover community education. Whether you want to meet a health and fitness challenge; embrace technology through online classes or smart devices; tackle debt or plan for future retirement; learn how to speak a new language; or explore your own artistic creativity through paint, sculpture or crafts – we have something for you. Try something new – or enhance a skill you already have! It’s a new year and a time for new beginnings. We are excited to meet you, or continue building on the relationship that we have already established. Community education offers a wide range of programs to support you and your family, friends and neighbors in pursuit of lifelong learning.
