Build Your Own Fire Pit
Extend our Minnesota summers with your own backyard fire pit or
fireplace. This seminar will show you the six steps to building your
own fire pit (using a 36 in. metal fire ring); finishing options (such
as small boulders, pavers or thin stone veneer) and for the very
ambitious, how to build your own backyard fireplace. Remember
each city or municipality has their own rules or guidelines regarding
open burning. Instructors will provide a municipal contact sheet for
your convenience. Class fee: $19.

Deck Building Seminar
A great deck is one of the best ways to enjoy Minnesota
summers! Learn building codes, deck designs and types, space
considerations, footing options, moisture concerns and what tools
and materials you need to build your own deck. Participants should
have basic knowledge of carpentry. Instructor, John Squire, has
over 20 years of deck building experience. Class fee: $29.

awareness of scams, learn money saving options for home projects
