Who’ s On the Cover?
It’ s a family affair! As a surprise, 78-year-old Gail Noller’ s daughters, Jenna Dorst and Jessica Goddard, registered her for‘ Workout Shake-Up’, a fitness class offering yoga, Pilates, cardio, and more. It was right after COVID, and they wanted to get Gail out of the house and keep her active. It also happened to be offered within walking distance of her home in Anoka.
“ We signed her up for her birthday, but we also signed ourselves up,” said Jessica.“ And then we all fell in love with it and we’ re like everybody needs to come!”
Soon, other members of the family joined in on the fun, including Gail’ s 80-year-old husband Jerry, her son-in-law Ewan, and three of her college-aged grandchildren. A few friends have also signed up for the class.
“ We love walking up together,” said Gail.“ We work hard at class and then we come back and laugh and talk. It’ s great social time.”
“ I love that it’ s different every single week,” said daughter Jenna.“ It’ s a good middle-of-the-week touchpoint. And when it’ s scheduled and people are counting on you, you go.”
The group agrees their instructor Melissa is fabulous and say all shapes and sizes are welcome.
“ It’ s so accessible. There is no embarrassment or shaming,” added Gail.
And you can’ t forget about her granddaughter’ s favorite part.

“ The music in class is amazing. Top ten music,” said Ellen.“ It is good music! Sometimes you must sing out loud,” said Gail. facebook. com / discovercommunityed
“ If you can breathe,” added Jenna with a chuckle.“ If you can breathe.”
