ADULT CLASSES AND ACTIVITIES

“ At first I was intimidated,” Balan said.“ But then I gave it a try. Everyone was so welcoming. We have people of all ages and abilities who join us. If you make a mistake, people don’ t care.”
After the pandemic, some open volleyball nights were canceled due to lack of staff. Balan lives a few blocks from the gym at Sandburg Regional High School, so he jumped in to help working as a facility monitor as needed. Since then, he’ s also taken part in several new classes like yoga, sound bath and pickleball.
But his passion is still playing volleyball with teammates who have become friends.
FALL 2025
ENRICHING LIVES AT EVERY AGE & EVERY STAGE
“ We’ re like one big family,” Balan said.“ There is a core group, but we have new players all the time. We just have fun. Everyone has different lifestyles, world views, jobs, etc. but on the court, we’ re all the same. We just love playing volleyball.”
