Macrame dates back thousands of years and is an art form that involves tying differently shaped knots and then repeating and combining them to form patterns. T-Shirt Quilt
Are you celebrating a graduation or want to preserve other memories? Make it special by gifting a treasured t-shirt quilt, made by you. Join Sandra Bengtson as she guides you through the basics of making a t-shirt quilt- from stabilizing the t-shirts, to cutting and sewing them into an individualized quilt for yourself or a loved one. Note: Basic sewing skills required; be prepared to do some work at home. Supply fee of $ 10-20( based on quilt size) paid to the instructor at class.

Beginner’ s Stained Glass Copper Foil Panel
This class is designed for beginners who are interested in trying their hand at making stained glass. All the tools, glass and supplies are provided. Students will choose from a few simple patterns designed to teach the basics steps of following a pattern, cutting glass, grinding glass, copperfoiling and soldering. We try to make it easy and fun so you will enjoy the process of creating something beautiful that you can take home and hang in your window. Bring your own safety glasses and see the description of appropriate clothing to wear to class.

Glass Mosaic Lantern or Table Lamp
Glass mosaic sounds like a fancy, difficult art form. However in this class, you will learn how it can be fun and easy while you mosaic a table lamp or candle lantern. Look through the idea book, browse the patterns and stencils, and choose from dozens of colors of precut glass! The first night is dedicated to working on your project, having fun, and discovering your creative side. There is the possibility of homework. During the second night, you will grout and learn about glass cutting, mosaic resources, and other types of mosaics. Supply fee will be paid to instructor at class: $ 35 for 8x8 lamp, $ 45 for 4x9 lamp, or $ 40 for 11” tall x 6” x 6” candle lantern.

Glass
Mosaic Sign or Photo Frame
Create a beautiful photo frame to highlight your special photos or a lovely sign, ideas including welcome, house numbers, a state of MN, or flowers. All the cutting is already done, we just need you and your creativity( or you can use one of our patterns)! Both projects are wonderful for home decorations or to give as gifts. The first night is dedicated to working on your project, having fun, and discovering your creative side with some homework. The second night is using grout. After your project is finished, you will learn about glass cutting, mosaic resources, and other types of mosaics. Materials fees are payable to the instructor the first night. Each frame is $ 12 and you can make as many as you want. A variety of signs will be available in different sizes and prices, ranging from $ 16-45.

Intermediate Stained Glass Open Studio
This Intermediate Open Studio course is designed to give you individual attention to advance your craft( there will be no formal instructions, lectures or presentations), and give you the dedicated time and space to work with glass! Bring your projects or ideas- Make a bunch of suncatchers for Christmas, make a panel with copperfoil, lead, or zinc, challenge yourself and learn something new, or finish an old project. It’ s totally up to you! Grinders will be provided for class use. You can rent tools from instructor Lisa Schwartz for $ 30 or bring your own.
